<br />SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Valid Minnesota State Driver’s License or ability to obtain one. <br /> <br />TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED <br />Skill in the operation of a personal computer, including the use of work processing and <br />spreadsheet software; a motor vehicle; calculator; phone; and copy and fax machine. <br /> <br />PHYSICAL DEMANDS <br />The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an <br />employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable <br />accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the <br />essential functions. <br /> <br />A majority of the work is performed in an office setting, with occasional visits to field sites. <br />Sufficient mobility is necessary to navigate natural terrain and construction sites. Visual <br />acuity sufficient to evaluate field conditions, plans and drawings is necessary, as is the <br />ability to communicate orally in person and over the telephone. Specific vision abilities <br />required by this job include close vision, distance, vision, color vision, peripheral vision, <br />depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to <br />operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. <br /> <br />While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, talk and <br />hear, use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and to reach <br />with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, <br />kneel, crouch, or crawl. <br /> <br />The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. <br /> <br />WORK ENVIRONMENT <br />The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an <br />employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable <br />accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the <br />essential functions. <br /> <br />While performing the duties of this job, the employee usually works in an office setting, with <br />occasional visits to field sites. When in the field, the employee is exposed to outside <br />weather conditions, experiencing exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or <br />airborne particles. Situations may occur where the employee is dealing with people who <br />are angry, upset or belligerent. <br /> <br />The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. <br /> <br />SELECTION GUIDELINES <br />Formal application, rating of education and experience; oral interview and reference check; <br />job related tests may be required.
