RESOLUTION NO. 8985 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />APPROVING THE HIRE OF JENNIFER NELSON TO THE POSITION OF <br />RECEPTIONIST/AV SUPPORT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View posted a position for Receptionist/AV <br />Support; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View posted for the position on its web page, the <br />League of Minnesota Cities web page, and indeed.com; and <br />WHEREAS, sixty (60) applications were received, scored and five (5) first <br />interviews were conducted and two (2) second interviews were conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, a first interview panel comprised of the Finance Director, City <br />Planner, and Human Resources Coordinator, conducted an interview on June 27, 2018. <br />At the conclusion of the interview, recommended two (2) candidates advance to a <br />second interview process; and <br />WHEREAS, a second interview panel comprised of the Permit Technician and <br />Human Resources Coordinator, conducted second interviews on July 3, 2018. At the <br />conclusion of each interview, candidates met briefly with the Cable Television <br />Coordinator to tour the City's cable television control center. At the conclusion of the <br />interview and tour, the panel engaged in discussion and came to a conclusion for a <br />recommendation of Ms. Jennifer Nelson: and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />approves the hire of Jennifer Nelson to the position of Receptionist/AV Support starting <br />on or about August 1, 2018 at Step 1 of the 2018 Pay Plan and upon successful <br />completion of a six (6) month probationary period, advance to Step 1.5 of the Pay Plan. <br />Step 1 Step 1.5 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 <br />$19.67 $20.54 $21.07 $22.18 $23.35 $24.58 <br />Adopted this 9th Day of July, 2018 <br />Carol A.
