Past recipients of this award include: <br /> <br />2004: David Jahnke <br /> <br />2005: Frank Silvis <br /> <br />2006: Ed Lanz <br /> <br />2007: Don Hodges <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />Staff is starting the nomination process for the 2008 Citizenship Award. The City of <br />Mounds View Citizenship Award recognizes a Mounds View resident who represents <br />the energetic, courageous, persistent and informed involvement of an ordinary citizen in <br />the issues and the challenges that affect the City of Mounds View. The award seeks to <br />honor highly effective community leaders who have an invested a significant amount of <br />time improving our community. <br /> <br />Nominations are open to the public and the award is subject to the following guidelines <br />below: <br /> <br />Eligibility: <br /> <br />Nominees must be: <br />• A Mounds View resident, business owner or land owners. <br />• Recent elected officials, City employees, City contractors, or political candidates <br />are not eligible. <br /> <br /> <br />
