At the May 26th <br />meeting, the EDA directed City staff to propose a process for soliciting tagline ideas <br />from Mounds View residents, businesses, community organizations, local school <br />students, etc. <br /> <br />Also on May 26th, the EDA discussed the importance of choosing a unique tagline that <br />City officials and community members will immediately gravitate towards as the perfect <br />tagline for Mounds View. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Below is a list of proposed promotion tools and a timeline that City staff could use to <br />solicit tagline ideas from the community. <br /> <br />Promotional Tool Promotion Start Date(s) Promotion End Date <br />Next City Utility Bill August 1 Oct. 1 <br />Festival in the Park August 22 August 22 <br />Mounds View Matters August 27-28 Early Oct. <br />Cable Channel 16 Now Early Oct. <br />City Website Now Early Oct. <br />City Hall Lobby Now Early Oct. <br />Sun Focus & Bulletin Now Early Oct. <br />E-mail Businesses Now Early Oct. <br /> <br />City staff also could coordinate soliciting tagline ideas from school students, boy/girl <br />scout groups and other active community organizations. The “early October” due date <br />for submitting tagline ideas will give students a month (after school is back in session) to <br />brainstorm and submit ideas. <br /> <br /> <br />
