GME CONSULTANTS, INC.
CONSULTING ENGINEERS
14000 21 st Ave. No. /Minneapolis, MN 55447
Phone(6121559.1859 / Fa.(6121559-0720
Ms. Samantha Orduno, City Manager
City of Mounds View
2401 Highway 10
Mounds View, Minnesota 55112
RE: Proposal for geotechnical exploration, Phase I Environmental
Site Assessment, and hydrogeological analysis for the
proposed Executive Golf Course on Highway 10 in Mounds View,
Minnesota
Dear Ms. Orduno:
Based on the golf course design presented at the meeting of June 17,
1993, we have prepared a proposal for the referenced services for this
project. In this proposal, we present an outline of the scope of
services we are to provide, and our fee schedule and estimate of
charges for these services.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The development of the nine hole golf course will include grading of
the site, possible wetland mitigation, and construction of a club
house/pro shop and a maintenance building, along with a paved parking
and drive area. The club house/pro shop will be a one or two story
structure, possibly with a full basement, covering a footprint of 2,500
square feet. The final design of this building is not yet available,
but we estimate that this type of building would impart moderate loads
to the foundations. Bearing wall loads could be on the order of 2 to
4 kips per lineal foot and isolated column loads could be in the range
of 50 to 100 kips. The maintenance building would be a single story
slab -on -grade structure, of masonry bearing wall construction or steel
frame construction.
Paved parking and drive areas will be built to the north of the
maintenance building, off the entry from Coral Sea Drive. The traffic
pattern on this lot would consist primarily of automobiles and light
trucks (pickups and vans), with occasional heavier vehicles such as
waste collection trucks, delivery trucks, or maintenance vehicles.
WILLIAMC.
