6. Provide a copy of the plan for offering a governmental service under a joint powers agreement <br /> with another local government unit, or with an agency of state government. Also, provide a <br /> copy of a resolution adopting the plan pursuant to Minnesota Statutes,465.80,subd. 3. The <br /> plan shall include: <br /> 1. a proposal to enter into an agreement for the joint exercise of powers under Minnesota <br /> Statute 471.59, that will result in a fully integrated service or function provided by <br /> the eligible local unit of government and one or more other government units as <br /> defined in Minnesota Statutes,471.59. (Agreements solely for joint purchases do not <br /> qualify for a shared services grant.) <br /> The regional Senior Center Task Force has developed a proposed Joint <br /> Powers Agreement including an organization structure that would be used <br /> for governing-a xegionaLSenior Center--. The Joint Powers Agreement <br /> provides that the cities of Fridley, New Brighton, Spring Lake Park, and <br /> Mounds View will join together for the purposes of running a joint regional <br /> senior center. The provisions of the proposed Joint Powers Agreement are <br /> attached. <br />
