The applicants property is <br />currently zoned R-1, Single Family Residential. <br />In addition to the requirements outlined in Chapter 40, all applicants <br />requesting residential dog kennels must circulate a petition to property <br />owners within 500 feet of the subject property (Chapter 91.01 Subdivision <br />19) explaining the request. At least 50% of those properties located <br />within 500 feet must sign the petition in order for the request to be <br />placed on an agenda for discussion and consideration. The applicant has <br />circulated a petition and secured the required number of signatures. <br />The Mounds View Planning Commission has conducted a review of the request <br />and recommended approval in Resolution No. 368-93. Their review included <br />a Police check of the property for animal related calls. No animal -related <br />calls are documented on this property. <br />Staff has included all materials submitted as a part of this application <br />for your review.
