Mounds View City Council Page Twenty-Two <br /> Regular Meeting September 13 , 4113 <br /> 4 . Report of Staff: <br /> Paul Harrington reported that on Wednesday evening, Peg Mountin <br /> will be attending her last Planning Commission meeting. Ms. <br /> Mountin has resigned her position. The Planning Commission will <br /> come forward with a recommendation for Chair to the City Council <br /> at the first meeting in October. The Vice Chair, Jerry Peterson, <br /> will take Ms. Mountin's place until a new Chair is <br /> appointed. <br /> Tim Cruikshank reported that the first of the FOCUS 2000 meetings <br /> will begin on Wednesday with a Chair and Co-Chair Meetings <br /> beginning at 5: 30 and the remainder of the groups beginning at <br /> 7 : 00. <br /> 5 . Report of Attorney: <br /> Jim Thomson reported on two cases -- one regarding regulation of <br /> nude dancing in liquor establishments (Coates case) and the other <br /> an open meeting law case. The situation was that <br /> three members of a Council were attending a Planning Commission <br /> meeting and went next door to further discuss an issue. • <br /> This was in violation of the Open Meeting Law. <br /> Jim Thomson stated that the next step in the case is the <br /> attorney's fees. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business before this Council, Mayor Linke adjourned <br /> the meeting at 11: 35 p.m. <br /> Respectfully-su •mitted-, • <br /> ._.
