REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br />ACNNDA SESSION DATE. <br />DISPOSITION <br />Agenda Section: <br />Report Number: <br />fieport Date: <br />Item Description: <br />Providing Snow S Ice Control and Sweeping of the Ramsey County <br />Administrators Re�riewfflecommendation: <br />- No comments to supplement this report 1— <br />Comments attached. <br />Explanation/Summary (aUHeh supplement sheets as necessary.) <br />SUMMARY: <br />This proposal includes preliminary costs related to the City of Mounds View providing snow and ice <br />control and sweeping of the Ramsey County roads within Mounds View. <br />The initial cost for the City, which would be billed back to the County, would be the purchase of an <br />additional dump truck with plowing equipment. (Estimated cost $75,000,00) Staff recommends an <br />equipment fee of $30.00 per hour plus personnel costs including benefits, approximately $25.00 per <br />hour. Deicing chemicals would be billed in accordance with the purchase price. Discussion of these <br />rates is encouraged. (These additional services could be provided by existing personnel.) <br />Sweeping of Ramsey County roads would be billed at current total personnel costs plus equipment <br />costs of S35.00 per hour. At this time, the City does not pay for disposal of sweepings. Should this <br />practice change, then the disposal charges would be added to the invoice. <br />i <br />Michael Ulrich.
