REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Agenda Section: y5,____ <br />TAFF REPO ReportNaml r: 93=1001WS <br />ACENDA SESSION DATE December 6, 1993 Report Date: ____J-2-2-9-4_ <br />DISPOSI'rION <br />heat Description'. <br />Discussion of Request for Rezoning and Development Review, Multi-Tech/Everest <br />Administrators Renew/Recommendation: <br />No comments In supplementthis repnrl _ <br />Cnm mrnts ut uirlud. <br />Isplanatiun'Sununarp •ou.,rh .0 pplement sheets as necesssry.) <br />SUMMARY* <br />Everest Development, representing Multi -Tech, has made application for the <br />following within the Mounds View Business Park: <br />1) Development Plan Review - Review of a proposed 59,970 square foot two- <br />story building/facility expansion of Multi -Tech Systems to be constructed <br />to the West of the existing Multi -Tech building. Staff has reviewed the <br />submitted application and narrative provided by the applicant and found the <br />request meets the intent of the Municipal Code as it applies to this <br />request including land use, setbacks, zoning(if approved), parking, etc. <br />A review of the provisions for storm water control on the site is currently <br />underway. Staff anticipates no problems with storm water control on the <br />site as the ponding area constructed as part of the existing Business Park <br />was sized to handle the further development of this property as well as the <br />property to the immediate West. <br />2) Rezoning - Currently, the property located immediately West of the <br />Mounds View Business Park is zoned B-3, Highway Commercial (please see <br />attached map). The applicant is proposing that the aforementioned property <br />be rezoned to PUD, Planned Unit Development, to accommodate the proposed <br />use of that parcel by Multi -Tech for required parking area. Also, the <br />rezoning would provide consistent zoning for the entire Business Park <br />complex. <br />I have included a very comprehensive application submittal provided by the <br />applicant for your review. Everest Development will be present on Monday <br />Evening to give a complete presentation of the proposal. <br />The Mounds View Planning Commission has reviewed the requests and <br />recommended approval in Resolution Nos. 371-93 and 372-93.
