RESOLUTION NO. 4254 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A GOLF COURSE TASK FORCE <br /> WHEREAS, in 1991 the City Council of Mounds View <br /> commissioned a land use study of the City-owned 109 areas in the <br /> northeast quadrant of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the results of the land use study confirmed <br /> that the site is conducive to a golf course and related <br /> activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the study further concluded that the <br /> development of a golf course in the City could significantly <br /> enhanced the City's revenue base and overall recreational <br /> opportunities; and <br /> WHEREAS, a recent survey of a random sample of Mounds <br /> View residents indicated significant support for the development <br /> of a City-owned golf course; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of promoting <br /> public input into the development process of a municipal golf <br /> course in the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the creation of Golf Course Task Force has <br /> been determined by the Council to be the best avenue by which to <br /> pursue the golf course development with public participation. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council in <br /> and for the City of Mounds View does hereby establish a Golf <br /> Course Task Force to be comprised of the following: <br /> 1 Member of the Planning Commission <br /> 1 Member of the Parks and Recreation Commission <br /> 2 Members of the Mounds View Business Association <br /> 1 Resident- at Large <br /> 2 City Councilmembers <br />
