Mounds View City Council Page Six <br /> Regular Meeting January 27, 1992 <br /> • <br /> 2 . Orduno announced that there will be an informational meeting <br /> on the Saturn Dealership and proposed Planned Unit Development <br /> amendment to Mounds View South Development to allow parking at <br /> Highway 10 and Woodale at the City Hall of Mounds View on <br /> Thursday evening, January 30, 1991, at 7 :00 p.m. <br /> 3 . Orduno also announced that the Appreciation Dinner would be <br /> held on February 22, 1992 . Orduno went on to explain that in <br /> the past this was a City-funded event, but because of budget <br /> cuts the City could no longer fund the event and it was <br /> doomed to dic. Two volunteers, Jan Quick, Councilmember Gary <br /> Quick's wife, and Sharie Linke, Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br /> Administrative Assistant (Mayor Linke's wife) volunteered to <br /> organize this event entirely on a volunteer basis . Orduno stated <br /> that this year there will be a reception with hors d'oeuvres, <br /> a short program and dancing to the music of the Whitesidewalls. <br /> Orduno, on behalf of the staff and community, expressed thanks <br /> to Jan Quick and Sharie Linke for taking on this worthwhile event. <br /> 4 . Report of Staff <br /> 1) Ric Minetor, Director of Public Works/City Engineer reported <br /> that the City of Mounds View had an opening for an Engineering <br /> Aide and that interviews were held last week. Minetor further <br /> reported that Mr. Randall Rogers was the successful candidate. <br /> Minetor asked that the Council adopt Resolution No. 4178 Hiring <br /> Randall Rogers as an Engineering Aide for the City of Mounds <br /> View. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Quick/Rickaby to adopt Resolution No. 4178 <br /> Hiring Randall Rogers as the Engineering Aide for the City <br /> of Mounds View. <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> 2) Minetor also reported that the construction of the Water <br /> Treatment Plant was—et thepoint-where- Council--could receive - - <br /> a tour and asked if prior to the next Work Session would be <br /> in agreement with the Council. After some discussion, 6 :15 <br /> p.m. was agreed upon by the Council and staff for this tour. <br /> Councilmember Rickaby inquired if this would be a good time <br /> to invite the public to tour the Water Treatment Plant. <br /> Minetor responded that for insurance purposes this was <br /> a construction site_and no public could—not--be ai-lowed—at—or—in <br /> the site at this time. Minetor stated that when the Water <br /> Treatment Plant is finished there will be a scheduled date for <br /> tours by the public. <br />
