Mounds View City Council February 12, 2007 <br />Regular Meeting Page 2 <br /> <br />Public Works Director Lee explained that the City advertised for the open seats on the Parks 1 <br />Commission and received one application with its first advertisement. He then said that Staff re-2 <br />advertised and received two applications. After reviewing the applications the Park Commission 3 <br />has recommended approval of these appointments. 4 <br /> 5 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Stigney/Mueller. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7015, 6 <br />Appointing John Kroeger and Darren Peterson to the Parks and Recreation and Forestry 7 <br />Commission and Appointing Jerry Kunz Chairperson. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Mayor Marty thanked the applicants for stepping up to volunteer for the City. 10 <br /> 11 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 12 <br /> 13 <br /> B. Consideration of Resolution 6956, Approving a Minor Subdivision (Lot Line 14 <br /> Adjustment) between 8409 and 8413 Groveland Road; Planning Case M106- 15 <br /> 001 16 <br /> 17 <br />Community Development Director Ericson explained that in 2003 there was a subdivision of this 18 <br />property to create 8413. He then explained that the Church has requested a five foot lot line shift 19 <br />to the south to provide a little more flexibility with setbacks for the new home to be built and the 20 <br />address will be changed to 8415 Groveland Road. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Director Ericson indicated that a Certificate of Survey has been submitted as required and both 23 <br />lots comply with the Code requirements. He then said that because there is no additional density 24 <br />being created by the subdivision Staff and the Planning Commission recommend no park 25 <br />dedication fee be required. He further noted that a park dedication fee was paid when this minor 26 <br />subdivision was previously approved. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Mayor Marty indicated it looks like 8419 will lose his driveway. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Council Member Mueller indicated that 8419 has another driveway and that driveway went to a 31 <br />garage that has been torn down. 32 <br /> 33 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Flaherty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6956, 34 <br />Approving a Minor Subdivision (Lot Line Adjustment) between 8409 and 8413 Groveland Road 35 <br />as Amended to 8415 Groveland Road. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Mayor Marty explained that these lots are owned by the same person and this is a shift of the lot 38 <br />line to accommodate building their home on the lot. 39 <br /> 40 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 41 <br /> 42 <br /> C.
