Item No.5.b <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> HEALTHY BABY WEEK IN THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> WHEREAS, more than a quarter-million low birthweight babies are born <br /> every year in the United States; and <br /> WHEREAS, significant progress is being made in prevention of low <br /> birthweight through research, medical services and education; and <br /> WHEREAS, the March of Dimes Campaign for Healthier Babies and the <br /> Ramsey County Department of Public Health urge every pregnant woman <br /> to seek early, regular prenatal care so that she and her baby will benefit <br /> from increased knowledge that protects infant health; and <br /> • <br /> WHEREAS, the March of Dimes Campaign for Healthier Babies and the <br /> Ramsey County Department of Public Health are joined in this effort by <br /> volunteers throughout our community; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED, that I, Jerry Linke, Mayor of the <br /> City of Mounds View, do hereby proclaim the week of May 10-16, 1992 as <br /> "Healthy Baby Week" and ask that it become a health education priority that <br /> offers every newborn the best chance for a healthy birth day. <br /> Given under my and the Seal of the City of Mounds View this 27th- -- <br /> day of April, 1992. <br /> Jerry Linke, Mayor - <br /> S <br />
