RESOLUTION 7120 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING OUT OF STATE TRAINING FOR THE CHIEF OF <br />POLICE <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Chief of Police is a certified polygraph examiner and in order to maintain this professional <br />certification he is required to attend a minimum of 30 hours of training this year, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View supports maintaining our staff’s level of expertise and professional <br />certifications, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, no local training is available to meet the training requirement therefore it is necessary to <br />travel out of state to obtain the training, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the American Polygraph Association is holding their annual training seminar in New Orleans <br />from August 29-25, 2007. This training seminar will meet the training requirement. It is the policy of the <br />city that out of state training be approved by the city council. The cost for the training seminar is $300 <br />plus the cost of the travel and hotel. The police training budget is sufficiently funded to cover the cost of <br />this seminar this year. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council for the City of Mounds View authorizes the <br />out of state travel for Police Chief Mike Sommer to attend the American Polygraph Association Seminar in <br />New Orleans from August 19-24, 2007. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 23rd day of July 2007. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: ____________________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
