Item No.08B <br />Meeting Date: July 23, 2007 <br />Type of Business: CA <br />City Administrator Review _______ <br /> City of Mounds View Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br />To: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From: Desaree Crane, Assistant to the City Administrator <br /> <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 7117 Approving the 2007 Festival in the Park <br />Contract <br /> <br /> <br />At the May Work Session, the Mounds View City Council directed the Festival in the Park <br />Committee to draft a requested list of items that the City could consider payment contribution to <br />the 2007 Festival in the Park. The City Council along with representatives of the Festival in the <br />Park Committee discussed this request at the July 2, 2007 Work Session. The original request did <br />include Advertising, but the Committee decided to take the item off the request and ask <br />Minneapolis North for an advertising contribution per City Council direction. <br /> <br />Insurance $1,000.00 <br />Professional Bands $1,000.00 <br />Port-a-Potties $800.00 <br />Marching Band $1,000.00 <br />Use of City Copier Machine $500.00 <br />Car and Tractor Show $1,000.00 <br /> <br />Total: $5,300.00 <br /> <br />The $1,000.00 for the Car and Tractor Show would cover for the Dash Plaques, trophies and <br />the music DJ. At the July 2, 2007 Work Session, it was the consensus of the City Council to go <br />forward with this request and draft a resolution for City Council approval. <br /> <br />In addition, the City Council reviewed the 2007 Festival in the Park contract at the July Work <br />Session.
