A number <br /> of cities post the entrance streets to their City with no parking. <br /> Minetor also stated that the Council can approve areas that can be <br /> prohibited from these parking restrictions due to the way in which the <br /> ordinance is written. <br /> Councilmember Rickaby stated that this ordinance, in her opinion, could <br /> not pass constitutional muster. <br /> Alice Frits stated that the no parking on lawns ordinance is not <br /> enforced. People are still parking on their lawns. Ms. Frits wants t <br /> ll <br /> know if these parking restrictions will be enforced or are they just <br /> another law on the books. People park on their boulevards. <br /> Mayor Linke stated that parking on boulevards is not legal. <br /> Ms. Frits stated that she understood that cars had to be parked on <br /> paved driveway. <br /> Mayor Linke stated that he has seen a few parked on lawns, but when he <br /> does he calls on them. The cars need to have two wheels on a paved <br /> drivewayarea_to—be_legal_ <br /> Councilmember Rickaby stated that parkingalongthe boulevard is not <br /> legal. People are parking on their boulevards and this is not <br /> generally enforced according to the Chief. If this ordinance passes, I <br /> don't think it should. <br /> Bill Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road, stated that the parking lane on Long <br /> Lake Road does not make a lot of moxy. Mr. Frits asked why the City <br /> is putting a parking lane on Long Lake Road and then telling them <br /> they can't pare-ori it. Discussion followed regarding the parking lane <br /> on Long Lake Road. Mayor Linke explained the parking lane and its use. <br /> Minetor explained that parking in a travel lane on Long Lake Road is <br /> illegal. This road has to meet County state aid standards and is to 410 <br /> have a full shoulder if it has no parking lane. <br />
