The proposal was <br />again discussed at the July 2, 2007 City Council Work Session. <br /> <br />On July 23, 2007 the City Council approved Resolution 7121 adopting Water <br />Sprinkling and Irrigation Regulations. See attachment. <br /> <br />On August 6, 2007 Staff provided the City Council with a general update <br />regarding the status of the City’s water supply system. This included information <br />pertaining to the City’s wells and the aquifers from which the City draws water. <br />The update also included water pumping data, news articles regarding issues <br />other cities are facing pertaining to water usage, and restrictions set forth in the <br />peak energy control program. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion: <br />As per the Water Sprinkling and Irrigation Regulations adopted on July 23, 2007, <br />via resolution 7121 “Restriction will always be Tier #1 unless ordered by the <br />Director of Public Works/City Engineer after notification of the Clerk-Administrator <br />and the Mayor. “ <br /> <br />Tier I Restrictions: May 1st thru September 30th Odd/Even restrictions <br />Example: All properties with odd number addresses (7501) may <br />water on odd numbered calendar days (June 11), and all properties <br />with even numbered addresses (2612) may water on even <br />numbered calendar days (June 10). <br /> <br />At the August 6, 2007, City Council Work Session the City Council expressed a <br />desire to implement Tier II restrictions. Attached is Resolution 7142 which directs <br />the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to implement Tier II restrictions.
