<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7165 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE-DAY CHARITABLE GAMBLING PERMIT FOR <br />FRIENDS OF ST. PAUL BASEBALL TO CONDUCT A RAFFLE FOR THE PATRICK <br />HOLMES BENEFIT SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 4, 2007 AT THE <br />MOUNDS VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Friends of St. Paul Baseball has requested that the Council <br />allow them to conduct charitable gambling (raffle) at the Mounds View Community <br />Center on October 4, 2007, for the Patrick Holmes Benefit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board requires that the local unit of <br />government (city of county) pass a resolution specifically approving or denying requests <br />to conduct charitable gambling; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Friends of St. Paul Baseball is in compliance with all <br />requirements of the Mounds View Municipal Code with regard to charitable gambling <br />regulations. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby authorize Friends of St. Paul Baseball to conduct charitable gambling <br />(raffle) at Mounds View Community Center on October 4, 2007, for the Patrick Holmes <br />Benefit. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 24th day of September, 2007. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ______________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> _______________________________ <br />Jim Ericson, Interim City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(seal) <br />
