EDS Hire Report <br />Oct 8, 2007 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Ms. Steinmetz has a broad base of economic development experience and is a <br />skilled communicator. She has coordinated marketing activity for the City of Elk <br />River and will bring these needed skills with her to Mounds View if hired. <br /> <br />Due to Ms. Steinmetz’ extensive experience and present salary with the City of <br />Elk River, staff feels it would be justified to compensate Ms. Steinmetz at Step 5 <br />of the position’s wage scale, which would equate to $28.06 per hour. All other <br />provisions of the personnel manual would apply as applicable. Staff reviewed <br />the position, Ms. Steinmetz’ qualifications and salary expectations with the <br />Human Resources Committee on October 1, 2007.
