<br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 7178 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OR RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING TO ADVERTISE FOR THE <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR POSITION AND RECOMMENDING AN OUTSIDE <br />CONSULTANT FOR THE HIRING PROCESS <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Mounds View City Administrator resigned effective September <br />13, 2007; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View Administration Department has a need to <br />fill a full time City Administrator position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff has discussed the hiring process for this position with the City <br />Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due to the workload of existing employees and the desirability of <br />keeping on schedule, Staff recommends using an outside consultant to assist in the <br />search and hire of a new City Administrator; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council recommends to appoint Springsted, Inc., an outside <br />consultant, to assist the City in the search and hire of a new Mounds View City <br />Administrator and direct City Staff in preparing and posting an advertisement for the <br />position. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View authorizes staff to prepare and post an advertisement for a full-time exempt <br />position of City Administrator and authorizing the appointment of Springsted, Inc., to <br />assist staff in the search and hire of a new Mounds View City Administrator, at a cost not <br />to exceed $14,700. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 22nd day of October, 2007. <br /> <br /> <br />__________________________________ <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />__________________________________ <br />Jim Ericson, Interim City Clerk/Administrator <br /> <br />(seal)
