Monday, September 24, 2007 City Council Agenda 22 <br /> 23 <br />Interim Administrator Ericson noted that an item was added to the Agenda as 7G, Resolution 24 <br />7165, Authorizing a One Day Gambling Permit for Friends of St. Paul Baseball. 25 <br /> 26 <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Flaherty. To Approve the Monday, September 24, 2007 City 27 <br />Council Agenda as Amended. 28 <br /> 29 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 30 <br /> 31 <br />5. PUBLIC INPUT 32 <br /> 33 <br />Bruce Nustad from the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce addressed Council and said 34 <br />that the Chamber feels that enhancing the economic tax base of the City is very important to the 35 <br />City. Mr. Newstad said that the Chamber would like to urge the Council to make hiring a new 36 <br />Economic Development Specialist a priority to ensure that economic growth continues to be a 37 <br />priority for the City. Mr. Nustad asked the Council to fill the City Administrator position as 38 <br />quickly and with as little cost as possible and with an internal candidate if at all possible. He 39 <br />then said that he would urge the City to fill the remaining two positions as quickly as possible to 40 <br />ensure that the City continues to grow in economic development. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Mr. Nustad provided his comments in writing to the Council for review. 43 <br /> 44
