<br />RESOLUTION NO. 6713 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING THE NEW BRIGHTON/MOUNDS VIEW ROTARY A <br />ONE DAY PERMIT TO CONDUCT CHARITABLE GAMBLING AT THE <br />MERMAID IN MOUNDS VIEW <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary has requested that <br />the Council allow them to conduct charitable gambling at The Mermaid on April 7, <br />2006; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board required that the local unit of <br />government (city or county) pass a resolution specifically approving or denying <br />requests to conduct charitable gambling; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary is in compliance with <br />all requirements of the Mounds View Municipal Code with regard to charitable <br />gambling regulations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Mounds View to assist in the <br />economic prosperity of local business owners. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mounds View City <br />Council does hereby authorize the New Brighton/Mounds View Rotary to conduct <br />charitable gambling at The Mermaid on April 7, 2006. <br /> <br /> Adopted this 9th day of January, 2006. <br /> <br /> <br /> ___________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ___________________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal)
