Mounds View City Council January 9, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 24 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Councilmember Flaherty agreed this is a blight on Mounds View and something needs to happen. 2 <br />He stated his support for staff to talk with the property owner about a sale price and to research 3 <br />environmental studies. He suggested the City also look at what to do with the property and what 4 <br />the interest would be. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Marty asked staff to prepare ideas to market this property. 7 <br /> 8 <br />3. Update on City Hall Renovation 9 <br /> 10 <br />City Administrator Ulrich reported that the City Hall renovation project is coming along well and 11 <br />the entrance areas have been bricked. He stated he toured the building with Councilmember 12 <br />Gunn today and invited other Councilmembers to view the building. He stated that staff will 13 <br />return with a furniture proposal some time in February. 14 <br /> 15 <br /> 4. Community Center Task Force 16 <br /> 17 <br />Mayor Marty stated there is now a Task Force to look at the Community Center/Banquet Facility. 18 <br />He explained that when he served on the YMCA Advisory Committee several years ago, there 19 <br />were issues on accountability, damages at the community center, and who was responsible. He 20 <br />stated those issues deserve some scrutiny. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Councilmember Gunn advised that issue was brought up today. 23 <br /> 24 <br />C.
