RESOLUTION 6729 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OR RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING TO ADVERTISE FOR THE <br />COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR/ CABLE TECHNICIAN <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View Administration Department has a need to <br />fill a full time exempt position; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Communications Coordinator/Cable Technician would assist in <br />city communications to include cable television support, web page updates, and the city <br />newsletter; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff has discussed this new position with the AFSCME Union <br />representatives, and the representatives are in agreement with the job description and <br />wages; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff would draft a Memorandum of Understanding confirming this <br />agreement with AFSCME, and the position would be added to the 2006-2007 AFSCME <br />Union Contract; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance to the standard personnel policy practice, the <br />candidate would begin employment at Step 1, with an increase to Step 2 after six months <br />of employment. Step 3 would occur after 12 months of employment with Steps 4 and 5 <br />due 12 months thereafter, respectively. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View authorizes staff to prepare and post an advertisement for a full-time exempt <br />position of “Communications Coordinator/Cable Technician” within the Administration <br />Department. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of February, 2006. <br /> <br /> <br />__________________________________ <br />Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />__________________________________ <br />Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br />
