<br />GENERAL INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS <br /> <br />1. The City Council of the City of Mounds View is accepting proposals for a Compensation <br />Review of the current position descriptions, classifications, equity, compensation, and <br />evaluation process for its full-time, part-time, seasonal, interns, and temporary <br />employees. <br /> <br />2. All proposals should attempt to equal the market rate for each position submitted. Any <br />deviations should be identified in writing. Your proposals should be submitted on the <br />“Proposal Rate Sheet” or in a similar format. An Officer of your Company should sign <br />the “Proposal Rate Sheet”. <br /> <br />3. It is expected the Consultant will furnish detailed data informational material for all <br />affected positions. Include your normal administrative materials for reporting and <br />payment if appropriate. <br /> <br />4. It is the City’s desire to present findings and recommendation during August for any <br />necessary changes to Council and employees. Please outline your requirements for <br />presentation, timing, and fee structure. A representative may be expected to provide or <br />assist in conducting these informational meetings, if deemed necessary. <br /> <br />5. Minor revisions to original proposals, if requested by the City, may be negotiated <br />following the proposal deadline and prior to being submitted to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />6. All proposals must comply with Federal and State regulations pertaining to compensation <br />standards, including but not limited to pay equity legislation, ADA, and FLSA. <br /> <br />7. Eight copies of your proposal will be accepted until 4:30p.m. on _______________ in the <br />office of the following: The City of Mounds View, ________________________, <br />Mounds View , MN 55309. Proposal should be labeled “Proposal-Compensation Study <br />2006.” <br /> <br />8. After a thorough review of the proposals the results will be presented to the City Council. <br />If you have any questions concerning the specifications, etc. please contact <br />_________________, (763) 717-4016. <br /> <br />9. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals that are in the best <br />interest of The City and its employees. The consultation award will be based upon, but <br />not necessarily limited to, rates, options methodology, project design, timeline, and the <br />experience of the carrier with municipalities and similar governmental instrumentalities <br />and labor markets. <br /> <br />PROJECT <br /> <br />The City of Mounds View is soliciting proposals for professional services for the development <br />and implementation of a job evaluation and compensation system that meets Federal and State <br />Compensation Standards. <br />
