We have <br /> obtained a quotation from Lawrence Sign, which is the company that <br /> installed the sign board originally, the tasks) and amount(s) are <br /> as follows: <br /> 1. To replace the face of the sign, basically the same as it is <br /> now, would be: $2,275.00 <br /> 2. To replace the upper part of the sign, which is where the "City <br /> of Mounds View" logo resides, we have (2) options. <br /> A. Basically the same as it is now: $1,200.00 <br /> B. Routed copy aluminum faces backed with Plexiglass. (This <br /> would allow just the "City of Mounds View" to light up at <br /> night with gold lettering, instead of the background <br /> lighting up also, as does now. This option would give our <br /> sign board more of a professional and crisp look. ) : <br /> $1,400.00 <br /> (If you have any questions regarding the above items, I will be <br /> giving a presentation at the meeting and they can be addressed at <br /> that time) <br /> 3. To repaint the sign cabinet and pole enclosures: $570.00 <br /> 4. Additional letters and number: $500.00 <br /> The City Council approved $1,000.00 in the 1991 budget for <br /> renovation of the sign board. As it stands now just for the <br /> minimal improvements, another $1,275. 00 will need to be transferred <br /> from the City Hall contingency account, which has a current balance <br /> of $32,242.00, to account 100-4190-511.
