The Northwest Youth Services Bureau is puttingtogether a <br /> second counseling session, however, the date has not been specified. <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator read the consent agenda. Mayor Linke <br /> asked if the Council had any items they wished to remove from the consent <br /> agenda. Councilmember Blanchard requested Item 5 be removed. <br /> MOTION/SECOND: Rickaby/Blanchard to adopt consent agenda minus <br /> Item 5 . <br /> 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br /> Mayor Linke reviewed Item 5, Resolution No. 4131, AmendingResolution <br /> 3098 Establishing Park Facilityand Equipment No. <br /> Reservation Fees and Charges . <br /> Councilmember Blanchard was very concerned about the community room rental. <br /> Blanchard stated that $125 was outrageously high to pay for rental of the <br /> community room for a shower or party when the residents are paying for this <br /> building with their tax dollars . <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator, explained that $125 charge is broken <br /> down in two segments; the $100 cash deposit and the actual $25 . 00 rental <br /> charge. Orduno further stated that if the community room and building are <br /> left in good order, the $100 is refunded. I other <br />—d�P ever cashes but returned to the rental party. ' the—check for the <br /> Mary Saarion, Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director, stated that the <br /> department had been utilizing this system for the rental of Silver View Park <br /> Shelter and Lakeside Park Building and found that it works very well. The <br /> rental party writes two checks, one for the deposit and one for the rental. <br /> After the premises is inspected and found to be in good order, the deposit <br /> check is returned to the individual . Saarion stated that in the past the <br /> City had suffered some damages from those who had rented the building and <br /> that the $100 damage deposit a fair amount to cover damaged items . <br /> Sarrion also stated that Mounds View's charge for rental is very low in <br /> comparison to other rooms or buildings being rented. Saarion further <br /> explained that not only Mounds View residents rent this community room but • <br /> also others from surrounding communities . The Department makes every <br /> attempt to give the residents priority. <br />
