Agenda Section: 9 .2 <br /> InREQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Report Number: y 1—5 5C <br /> ���D� Report Date: S^9—9 1 <br /> u� STAFF REPORT Council Action: <br /> ❑ Special Order of Business <br /> CI'T'Y COUNCIL MEETING DATE August 12, 1991 ❑ Public Hearings <br /> 0 Consent Agenda <br /> 4] Council Business <br /> Item Description: Appointing Regional Senior Center Task Force <br /> Administrator's Review/Recommendation: <br /> - No comments to supplement this report <br /> - Comments attached. <br /> Explanatior/SiimmAry (attach anpplement sheets as necessary.) <br /> ,SUMMARY; <br /> The result of the July 10, 1991 meeting of the Councils of the cities of <br /> Spring Lake Park, Mounds View, New Brighton and Fridley was agreement to <br /> continue to explore the concept of a joint facility and appoint a 21 <br /> member Task Force. <br /> The Managers and Administrators met subsequent to the meeting and <br /> developed guidelines for the Task Force. <br /> The Council will need to appoint four members of the community at the <br /> August 12th Council Meeting to participate on the Task Force. <br /> At the August 5th Work Session several individuals were recommended as <br /> possible candidates. A list of candidates who have agreed to serve on the <br /> Task Force will be available at Monday's meeting. Several have been <br /> contacted, two have confirmed and others will let me know of their <br /> decision by Friday, August 9th. <br /> Samantha Orduno, City Administrator <br /> RECOMMENDATION; <br /> Motion to waive the reading and adopt Resolution No. 4106 Appointing to the <br /> Regional Senior Center Task Force. <br />
