RESOLUTION NO. 4106 <br /> CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A <br /> MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER TASK FORCE <br /> WHEREAS, representatives form the cities of Fridley, New <br /> Brighton, Mounds View and Spring Lake Park have been studying <br /> issues related to the establishment of a regional senior center <br /> since February, 1991; and <br /> WHEREAS, a preliminary staff report indicated that higher <br /> quality and more diversified senior services may be achievable <br /> through a regional approach than through the efforts of any one <br /> city; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is important that senior citizens and other <br /> community interests have an opportunity to evaluate a regional <br /> approach to establishing senior citizens services; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br /> City- of Mounds View supports the establishment of a regional senior <br /> citizen center task force that will be charged with the <br /> responsibilities identified in Exhibit A. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View will appoint four of its citizens to represent the City <br /> of Mounds View on the twenty-one member senior center task force. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br /> Mounds View authorizes the City Administrator to work with members <br /> of staff from the other three communities in support of the work if <br /> the Senior Center Task Force. <br /> Adopted this 5th day of August, 1991. <br /> ATTEST: <br /> Mayor <br /> (SEAL) <br /> City-Administrator <br />
