Mounds View City Council July 22, 1991 <br /> 0 Regular Meeting Page Six <br /> REPORT OF COUNCILMEMBERS: <br /> Councilmember Blanchard - No report. <br /> Councilmember Rickaby - No report. <br /> Councilmember Wuori - Just a reminder to buy your tickets for <br /> the performance of "My Fair Lady" . <br /> Councilmember Quick - Announced that the Mounds View Athletic <br /> Association, 15 Year Olds, took second in <br /> the State Tournament. Congratulations ! <br /> Good luck in the Nationals to be held in <br /> Blaine in two weeks . <br /> Had received a brochure from NSP that would <br /> save those persons with central air conditioning <br /> on their NSP bills . NSP, at no charge, will <br /> install a switch for the months of June, July, <br /> August and September that would cycle the • <br /> air conditioning 15 minutes on and 15 minutes <br /> off to save energy. This would help during peak <br /> energy use times . Would like to have this put <br /> on cable TV so all residents could benefit. <br /> REPORT OF MAYOR: <br /> 1. Mayor Linke attended the dedication to the new Greenfield Ball <br /> Field. Councilmember Quick had the honor or throwing out the <br /> first ball. Mayor Linke didn't stay for all the games but what <br /> games he did see were very good. <br /> 2 . Mayor Linke read a letter from a resident commending S <br /> gt. <br /> Jerry Johnson O—the police Department for the expert, <br /> professional and dedicated service to a resident who was <br /> in a life threatening situation. Mayor Linke stated that <br /> these letters come to the City very often commending the <br /> employees . <br /> Mayor Linke stated that we have a very good police department <br /> of which the City is very proud. <br /> 3 . The Public Works Department received a letter of commendation <br /> from an apartment complex last week for the exceptional job done <br /> during a watermain break. Mayor Linke commended all those <br /> employees for a job well done. <br /> 411 <br />
