GOAL: CREATE METHODS FOR UPGRADE AND <br /> REHABILITATION OF EXISTING HOUSING STOCK <br /> The City of Mounds View is a mature suburban community with single family housing <br /> dominating existing land-use pattern. The majority of this housing stock is pre-1960 and <br /> in need of rehabilitation. <br /> STRATEGY: <br /> Analysis of the housing stock within the City will be completed to determine those areas <br /> to be targeted as part of the redevelopment/rehabilitation process. All appropriate <br /> governmental agencies will be contacted and this assistance will be solicited when <br /> relevant to our needs. <br /> REVENUE/RESOURCE PROPOSAL: <br /> • Contact neighboring communities for a possible exchange of program <br /> information. <br /> • Ramsey County CDBG. <br /> • Metropolitan Council Data Center. <br /> ACTION PLAN: <br /> 1991 - Prepare a comprehensive housing stock conditions study for both <br /> single-family and multi-family housing by April, 1991. <br /> Review Ramsey County Community Development Block (CDBG) <br /> statistics regarding housing as shown in their housing assistance - <br /> plan by April, 1992. <br /> Review 1990 census date on housing and social conditions within <br /> Mounds View -- ongoing. <br /> 1992 Begin implementation of housing redevelopment/rehabilitation <br /> program by July, 1992. <br /> STAFF RESPONSIBILIT)F S FOR ACTIONS: <br /> Primary - City Administrator/Planner with the research help of interns. <br /> Approving Authority - City Administrator. <br />
