1 i <br /> Study the feasibility of a concession program in an <br /> effort to augment the <br /> recreation revenue source. <br /> With the information gained by the economic impact <br /> "ti;',17 / model, devise a strategy to market recreation and <br /> parks services. <br /> Continue the collaboration process for the <br /> development of a joint city Senior Citizen Center. <br /> Pursue grants and other funding sources for park <br /> development, recreation programming and forestry <br /> programs. <br /> Consider the feasibility of a park patrol service for <br /> the security and safety of park users, for the <br /> enforcement of park rules and regulations and as a <br /> deterrent of park vandalism. <br /> The demand for more recreation programs and activities <br /> continues to increase. Requests for additional after school <br /> activities and pre-school programs is especially evident. <br /> Family and industrial recreation programming areas which <br /> the department has not pursued, is a vital area of <br /> programming for the community. Programming is at a <br /> limit with the current staffing level. Increasing <br /> the number of programs will require additional staff. The <br /> Department continues to provide a source of part time <br /> employment to many members of the community and <br /> hopes—to—continue to contribute to the economical <br /> development of the community with the enticement of an <br /> excellent park and recreation system. <br /> 27 <br />
