DR AN' <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 493 <br /> PAGE TWO OF THREE <br /> (b) For each subsequent false fire alarm over three <br /> (3)in a calendar year, two-hundred fifty <br /> ($250 .00) <br /> 2 . Police Alarms <br /> (a) For the third false police alarm in a calendar <br /> year, fifty ($50. 00) dollars <br /> (b) For each subsequent false police alarm over <br /> three (3) in a calendar year, seventy-five <br /> ($75.00) dollars <br /> 92 . 03 COLLECTION OF FEES <br /> Subdivision 1. - The Police Department and the Fire <br /> Department shall document the names of alarm users who violate <br /> provisions of this chapter. The names shall be submitted to the <br /> Finance Department with the appropriate fee to be charged. <br /> Subdivision 2 . - The Finance Department shall be responsible <br /> for the collection of false alarm fees . The City shall have the <br /> power to collect such fees by whatever means becomes necessary, <br /> including the insitution of a civil action against the alarm user <br /> responsible for the payment of such fee. <br /> 92 . 04 APPEAL PROCESS <br /> Subdivision 1. - An alarm user required by the City to pay a <br /> fee as a result of false alarm may make written appeal of false <br /> alarm charges to the Chief of Police or Fire Chief within 10 days <br /> after mailed notice of a false alarm charge. The Chief of Police or <br /> Fire Chief has the authority to make final determination as to <br /> whether the applicant is to be charged with a false alarm. <br /> Subdivision 2 . - An alarm user may appeal the decision of the <br /> Chief of Police or Fire Chief to the City Council by submitting a <br /> request in writing to the City Administrator within 10 days after <br /> the decision of the Chief of Police or Fire Chief. <br /> Read by the City Council of the City of Mounds View <br /> this day of , 1991. <br />
