The existing control system was supplied by <br /> Automatic Systems using AutoCon remote terminal units and <br /> software. This system was competitively bid and awarded. The new <br /> water system controls need to be compatible with the existing <br /> hardware and software. This can be achieved by determining that <br /> AutoCon is a sole source provider of the necessary hardware and <br /> software . As Automatic Systems is the exclusive dealer for <br /> AutoCon products, it is appropriate to negotiate the purchase of <br /> the control system with Automatic Systems. To comply with State <br /> purchasing regulations as well as our own policies, the attached <br /> resolution needs to , be adopted. <br /> ti�r./�,- <br /> Ric ine <br /> City Engineer/Director of Public Works <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. <br /> 4083 declaring Automatic Systems the sole source of controls for <br /> the new water treatment plant and authorizing staff to negotiate <br /> the purchase of said controls. <br />
