REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION Agenda Section: Item 9
STAFF REPORT Report Number: 91-15A
111706
MU° AGENDA SESSION DATE May 6, 1991 Report Date: May 6, 1991
DISPOSITION
Item Description: No Parking Restrictions on Program Ave. & Clifton Dr.
Administrator's Review/Recommendation:
- No comments to supplement this report )1011#
- Comments attached.
Explanation/Summary (attach supplement sheets as necessary.)
,SUMMARY;
The Public Works Department has received calls regarding the
boulevard adjacent tb Clifton Drive and Program Avenue . The
boulevard and asphalt berm have been damaged due to truck
parking. Our recommendation is to designate Clifton Drive as No
Parking between Program Avenue and Highway Avenue and to
designate all of Program Avenue as No Parking. Program Avenue
from approximately 500 feet east of Clifton Drive to County Road
H-2 is currently designated as No Parking. (See attached map. )
The Public Works Department will sign the area, if approved, and
then repair the berm and restore the boulevard area. Safety of
the intersection will be enhanced with truck parking eliminated
and aesthetics of the area will definitely be -enhanced.
Ric Mi -tor
Director of Public Works/City Engineer
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Council move to designate
Clifton Drive between Program Avenue and Highway Avenue as No
Parking and also to designate all of Program Avenue as No
,Parking.
