Mounds View City Council April 10, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 20 <br /> <br />valued maintenance work with the Community Center or additional hours outside of Public 1 <br />Works time. He offered to check more into it. 2 <br /> 3 <br />Mayor Marty and Councilmember Stigney indicated they would like to look at this. 4 <br /> 5 <br />Mayor Marty asked if Maria Alonso was ever contacted to see if she would put out a bid for 6 <br />cleaning services. City Administrator Ulrich stated he did not have her contact information, and 7 <br />the last he knew she was employed by Coverall and could not enter into an independent contract. 8 <br />He indicated it would have to be advertised as a separate job. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Marty stated that Ms. Alonso paid Coverall for her contract with City Hall and the job 11 <br />was running out but she indicated she still owed payments to Coverall. 12 <br /> 13 <br />Mayor Marty wondered if the contract would need to be re-bid. City Administrator Ulrich 14 <br />indicated the contract would have to be re-bid which would take another month. 15 <br /> 16 <br />City Administrator Ulrich suggested an addendum could be added to the existing contract, as 17 <br />Coverall was the lowest bidder by far. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Councilmember Gunn asked if it is a yearly contract. City Administrator Ulrich responded that it 20 <br />has a 30 or 60 days termination provision. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Councilmember Gunn suggested leaving the contract as it is and look into what is going on and 23 <br />proceed from there. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Finance Director Beer stated the contract is for a period of two years. City Administrator Ulrich 26 <br />explained there is a termination provision in the contract. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Councilmember Stigney asked if the contract would have to be re-bid with an addendum. City 29 <br />Administrator Ulrich indicated it would not have to be re-bid. 30 <br /> 31 <br />MOTION/SECOND: THOMAS/GUNN. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6790 32 <br />Approving the Contract Award for Cleaning Services for City Hall Offices and the Mounds View 33 <br />Police Department. 34 <br /> 35 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Councilmember Stigney confirmed that Staff will look at the possibility of an addendum. 38 <br /> 39 <br />8G. Set a Public Hearing Monday, April 24, 2006 at 7:10 p.m. for a Conditional 40 <br />Use Permit for an Oversized Garage at 8495 Sunnyside Road. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Director Ericson explained the applicant is proposing to build a garage that will be slightly larger 43 <br />than is allowed by code without a conditional use permit. He stated it will be a three stall garage 44 <br />that will be used to park a recreational vehicle inside. 45
