To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6799 2 <br />Approving the Plans and Specifications and Authorizing the Advertisement for Bids and Setting 3 <br />a Bid Date for the Silver Lake Road Sidewalk Improvement Project, as amended. 4 <br /> 5 <br /> Ayes – 4 Nays – 1 (Stigney) Motion carried. 6 <br /> 7 <br />I. Resolution 6800 Approving the Plans and Specifications and Authorizing the 8 <br />Advertisement for Bids and Setting a Bid Date for the Hidden Hollow South 9 <br />Street and Utility Installation Project. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Director of Public Works Lee explained that plans and specifications have been prepared and the 12 <br />estimated cost of the project is $132,635. He stated that a bid date will be set at June 1, 2006, as 13 <br />advertisement for bids must occur at least three weeks before the bid date since the contract is 14 <br />over $100,000. 15 <br /> 16 <br />Director of Public Works Lee explained that the reason for the increased cost is due to the 17 <br />increase of petroleum prices. He pointed out the actual cost will be based on the bids received. 18 <br />He noted the costs will be borne by the developer except for an estimated $3,700 of construction 19 <br />costs for the utility access trail that will be financed by the City. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Mayor Marty pointed out that there was a typo on the Resolution, and confirmed that it should 22 <br />read the Hidden Hollow South Street and Utility Project. Director of Public Works Lee stated 23 <br />that is correct. 24 <br /> 25 <br />MOTION/SECOND: THOMAS/FLAHERTY. Councilmembers 30 <br />Thomas and Flaherty stated it does. 31 <br /> 32 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 33 <br /> 34 <br />J. Resolution 6801 Approval of the LELS Local 204 (Police Officers) 2006-2007 35 <br />Labor Agreement. 36 <br /> 37 <br />Assistant to the Administrator Crane explained the terms of the negotiated labor agreement with 38 <br />the LELS Local 204 (Police Officers) for 2006-2007. 39 <br /> 40 <br />MOTION/SECOND: FLAHERTY/GUNN. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6801 41 <br />Approval of the LELS Local 204 (Police Officers) 2006-2007 Labor Agreement. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Councilmember Stigney stated he has a problem with the wording in the contract in regard to 44 <br />insurance and that he does not support it. 45
