<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6853 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING THE CONTRACT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR <br />THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE MOUNDS <br />VIEW COMMUNITY CENTER <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 5, 2006, the City Council, at a Work Session, <br />reviewed the status of the City Hall Rehabilitation Project, which included design <br />and development level plans; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 8, 2006, the architectural firm of DSGW submitted a <br />letter of agreement to proceed with the Mounds View Community Center Project <br />by developing detailed plans and specifications for the bidding document phase <br />of this project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the estimated cost of construction for the work at the <br />completion of Phase I is $600,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the estimated DSGW fee would amount to $36,000 of which <br />$9,000 is for supervision during the construction and to take the project through <br />bidding only, the fee is $27,000, including fees of architectural, interior design, <br />mechanical and electrical engineering professionals; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Special Projects Fund has sufficient funding to cover the <br />cost of the proposed plans and specifications. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View, Ramsey County, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1. The execution of a contract for architectural services with DSGW in <br />an estimated amount not to exceed $27,000 for the development of <br />detailed plans and specifications for the bidding document phase of <br />the City Hall Rehabilitation Project is hereby approved. <br /> <br />2. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute <br />a contract for architectural services, subject to the review of the City <br />Attorney. <br /> <br />3. The estimated cost not to exceed $27,000 for development of <br />detailed plans and specifications for the bidding document phase of
