RESOLUTION 6855 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LEGAL SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT WITH KENNEDY & GRAVEN TO PROVIDE CITY ATTORNEY <br />SERVICES TO THE CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 28, 2003, after soliciting requests for proposals for legal <br />services, the City Council of the City of Mounds View adopted Resolution 6059 which <br />authorized staff to approve the retainer agreement from Kennedy & Graven (Exhibit A) to <br />provide civil legal services for a two year period beginning July 14, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council subsequently determined with passage of Resolution <br />6573 that it would be in the City’s best interest to extend the term of that contract by one <br />year until July 14, 2006; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has given due consideration of the performance of the <br />firm in regard to its current contract with the City, and has determined that a continuation of <br />the contract would be beneficial to the City. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mounds View City Council does <br />hereby approve an agreement with the law firm of Kennedy & Graven (Exhibit A) to provide <br />civil legal services for a three-year period beginning June 26, 2006. <br /> <br /> <br /> Adopted this 26th day of June, 2006. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
