Mounds View City Council June 12, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 8 <br /> <br /> 1 <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Crane stated that Staff recommends opening the Public 2 <br />Hearing for Public Comment and further recommends the Council approve Vino & Stogies’ 3 <br />application for an Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License pending receipt of their Certificate of 4 <br />Liability Insurance. She stated that the time period for this license will be July 1, 2006 to June 5 <br />30, 2007. 6 <br /> 7 <br />Acting Mayor Stigney opened the public hearing at 7:38 p.m. 8 <br /> 9 <br />Acting Mayor Stigney closed the public hearing at 7:39 p.m. 10 <br /> 11 <br />MOTION/SECOND: GUNN/FLAHERTY. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6832, 12 <br />an Off Sale Intoxicating Liquor License Renewal for Vino & Stogies located at 2345 County 13 <br />Road H2. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Councilmember Flaherty asked if the minor fire code issues have been addressed. Assistant to the 16 <br />City Administrator Crane replied that the changes are pending and Vino & Stogies is working on 17 <br />the situation. 18 <br /> 19 <br />Ayes – 3 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 20 <br /> 21 <br />F. Resolution 6833, an On Sale Intoxicating Liquor License Renewal for 22 <br />Robert’s Sports Bar and Entertainment located at 2400 County Road H2. 23 <br /> 24 <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Crane stated that the City of Mounds View issued an 25 <br />intoxicating liquor license to Robert’s Sports Bar and Entertainment in June of 2005, and their 26 <br />renewal is before the Council for consideration. She added that Robert’s Sports Bar and 27 <br />Entertainment’s Intoxicating Liquor License will expire in June 30, 2006. 28 <br /> 29 <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Crane stated that Robert’s Sports Bar and Entertainment has 30 <br />submitted their City liquor license application materials and the applicable fees. She added that 31 <br />Robert’s Sports Bar and Entertainment owes Staff a Certificate of Liability Insurance and this 32 <br />liquor license will not be issued until an original Certificate of Liability Insurance is received. 33 <br />She stated a notice of this public hearing was sent out to residences within a 350 feet radius, and 34 <br />the Notice of Public Hearing was published in the Mounds View/New Brighton Bulletin. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Crane stated that the Mounds View Police Department has 37 <br />issued a satisfactory Police Inquiry and Investigations report, and the Finance Department has 38 <br />issued a satisfactory Utility Billing Inquiry report for the establishment. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Crane stated that Staff recommends the City Council open the 41 <br />Public Hearing for public comment and that Staff recommends approving Robert’s Sports Bar 42 <br />and Entertainment’s application for an On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License pending a 43 <br />satisfactory inspection from the Mounds View Fire Marshal and receipt of the Certificate of 44 <br />Liability Insurance. She stated the time period for this license will be July 1, 2006 to June 30, 45
