Mounds View City Council June 26, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 32 <br /> <br />City Attorney Riggs stated that if it is an easement, the amount will be negligible. He added that 1 <br />some mortgage lenders require, that when any modifications are made to the property, a package 2 <br />be submitted including an appraisal. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Councilmember Thomas stated an appraisal may not be needed for every property. 5 <br /> 6 <br />MOTION/SECOND: THOMAS/GUNN. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6894 7 <br />Approving Compensation Amounts for Easement Acquisition and Authorization to Execute 8 <br />Easements for the Silver Lake Road Sidewalk Improvement Project as amended. 9 <br /> 10 <br /> Ayes – 5 Nays – 0 Motion carried. 11 <br /> 12 <br />N. Resolution 6867 Approving the Hire of Ben Knitter as Police Officer 13 <br /> 14 <br />Police Chief Sommer explained that the new hire will replace an officer who retired. He stated 15 <br />the number one candidate has passed all of his tests and background checks. He added that Mr. 16 <br />Knitter was the valedictorian of his high school class and had an excellent grade point average 17 <br />throughout college. 18 <br /> 19 <br />MOTION/SECOND: GUNN/THOMAS.
