Reports of Mayor and Council 1 <br /> 2 <br />Mayor Marty stated he received a letter he wanted to read but will read it at a later time. He 3 <br />stated it is a letter of commendation to a Public Works staff for the good job they do. He said he 4 <br />would like to thank the Warrens for writing the letter. 5 <br /> 6 <br />B. Reports of Staff 7 <br /> 8 <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated there will be an appreciation lunch on June 28th at the 9 <br />Community Center and compensation plans are due to be presented to the City on July 5th and 10 <br />will be included in the July 10th meeting. 11 <br /> 12 <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated a report about walkable communities will be distributed and 13 <br />some of the ideas will be incorporate into the planning. 14 <br /> 15 <br />1. Random Park Building Replacement Project Update 16 <br /> 17 <br />Public Works Director Lee stated that there is an option to use a residential-style sprinkler system 18 <br />that will still comply with the code. There are some complications, that 1.5” water supply will 19 <br />still be needed. He said a full report will be submitted on July 10th. 20 <br /> 21 <br />Mayor Marty asked if 3/4” or 1” was already going into the building and Public Works Director 22 <br />Lee replied that 3/4” is currently being use. Director Lee continued that Staff was investigating 23 <br />whether 1” would be able to do the job. He stated they are talking to a contractor who specializes 24 <br />in residential sprinkler systems to determine if such a system would work. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Community Development Director Ericson discussed a memo he provided to Council regarding 27 <br />ongoing code enforcement activity in the City. Mayor Marty asked about an “AO Issue,” and 28 <br />Community Development Director Ericson stated it stood for an Administrative Offense. 29 <br /> 30 <br />Finance Director Beer stated that as part of year-end management report, the state auditor 31 <br />requested information regarding the use of Administrative Offenses. He added that he is looking 32 <br />for direction about how to respond. 33 <br /> 34 <br />City Attorney Riggs stated that it is best for Staff to bring back a memorandum. He said at that 35 <br />point in time the Council can direct Staff how to respond. 36 <br /> 37 <br />C. Reports of City Attorney 38 <br /> 39 <br />There was none. 40 <br /> 41 <br />12.
