<br />RESOLUTION NO. 6917 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />APPOINTING NICHOLAS ERICSON TO THE <br />POSITION OF POLICE OFFICER <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the hiring of a Police Officer for a <br />current vacancy in the Police Department, and the Police Civil Service Commission has <br />approved the procedures for establishing an eligibility register to fill this vacancy, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the approved hiring procedures consist of a competitive written <br />examination, resume scoring, oral interviews, background investigations, physical <br />examination, psychological examination, and physical agility testing, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has certified the eligibility list for the <br />opening, and Nicholas Ericson is the top candidate standing on the eligibility register, <br />and his background investigation, and physical agility testing have all been successfully <br />completed, and he is scheduled for the psychological and medical examination, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff of the Police Department have met with Mr. Ericson, and the <br />Chief of Police recommends he be appointed to the position of Police Officer. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council <br />does hereby appoint Nicholas Ericson to the position of Police Officer effective August <br />28, 2006 at the step one rate of pay as stipulated in the Law Enforcement Labor <br />Services contract for the position.
