RESOLUTION NO. 6903 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SEVERANCE FOR THOMAS BAUMGART <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thomas Baumgart was terminated from his position due to his inability to <br />perform the essential functions of a police officer as concluded by Mr. Baumgart’s health care <br />provider; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Thomas Baumgart’s termination was effective July 10, 2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Thomas Baumgart’s current rate of pay as of July 10, 2006 was $30.00 per <br />hour; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued and unused vacation time is 181.94 hours as of July <br />10, 2006; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Baumgart is eligible for a vacation payout of $5,458.20, which is <br />calculated as 181.94 hours times his hourly salary of $30.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of accrued compensatory time is 11.25 hours as of July 10, <br />2006; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Baumgart is eligible for a compensatory time payout of $337.50, which <br />is calculated as 11.25 hours times his hourly rate of $30.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the one-time payout of accrued and unused vacation and compensatory <br />one-time payout is $5,795.70. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mounds View City Council approve a <br />one-time payout of accrued and unused vacation and compensatory time not to exceed <br />$5,795.70 to Thomas Baumgart effective August 14, 2006. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 14th day of August, 2006. <br /> <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br />(seal)
