Crane, Assistant to the City Administrator <br /> <br />Item Title/Subject: Resolution 6918 Approval of the LELS Local 232 (Police <br />Sergeants) 2006-2007 Labor Agreement <br /> <br />This item will be discussed at the 6pm Executive Session. <br /> <br /> Background: <br />Pursuant to the discussion at the August 14, 2006 Council Executive session, the <br />following contract terms have been negotiated: <br /> <br />1. The duration of the contract shall be two years, January 1, 2006 to December 31, <br />2007. <br /> <br />2. A general 3% wage for January 1, 2006. <br /> A general 3% wage for January 1, 2007. <br /> <br />3. ARTICLE 14 - OVERTIME <br /> <br />City agrees to change the following language in the contract: <br /> <br />14.7 Employees may take compensatory time in lieu of overtime pay. <br />Compensatory time may be accumulated up to fifty-two and one half <br />(52.5) hours. <br /> <br />4. ARTICLE 17 - INSURANCE <br /> <br />The City agrees to the following insurance contributions: <br /> <br />2006: $685.20 <br />2007: $732.20 <br /> <br />5. ARTICLE 19 - UNIFORMS <br /> <br />The City agrees to increase the uniform allowance by $20.00 in 2006 and $20.00 in <br />2007. The uniform allowance will be the following: <br /> <br />2006: $690.00 <br />2007: $710.00 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
