<br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6913 <br /> <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE HIRING OF A CABLE TV ASSISTANT/TECHNICIAN <br />FOR THE CABLE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in the past, the City had retained the services of at least two part-time <br />Cable TV Assistant/Technicians in addition to the Cable Coordinator; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due to the recent vacancy in this position, staff reviewed the hiring <br />process and wage schedule and found that there was no documentation for this job in terms <br />of a position description, wage schedule, or Council authorization to hire; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Cable TV Assistant/Technician would be a part time position that would <br />not exceed 20 hours a week, and would not be eligible to receive City benefits; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, In consideration of the market for this type of job, the proposed <br />step progression is as follows: <br /> <br /> Step One: $12.00/hour <br /> Step Two: $12.75/hour <br /> Step Three: $13.51/hour <br /> Step Four: $14.25/hour <br /> Step Five: $15.00/hour; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the selected candidate will be offered a position starting at Step 1 for that <br />position as provided for in the current Mounds View Personnel Manual. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mounds <br />View, that Staff is authorized to take the necessary steps to fill the Cable TV <br />Assistant/Technician position, according to the conditions and provisions listed above. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 14th day of August, 2006. <br /> <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Rob Marty, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: ____________________________________ <br /> Kurt Ulrich, City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />(seal) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
