He then asked if the new foyer is water tight so that the same issues will not happen 23
with this door. 24
25
Public Works Director Lee explained that the old vestibule leaked and caused corrosion to the 26
wiring but the new vestibule should not leak and there should not be any moisture issues. 27
28
MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Gunn. Resolution 6955, Authorization to Grant Utility Easement 34
35
Mayor Marty said that he wanted to ask about this because, even though he agrees with it, he was 36
wondering if there is a possibility that these lines could be buried. And, if so, would there be a 37
great cost to do so. He then said that he knows of another area in the western part of down 38
during the storm last September that went without power for an additional week and he feels that 39
under grounding the power in that neighborhood along with this line would be a good idea 40
because the trees always interfere whenever there is a storm. 41
42
Council Member Thomas said that the property owners usually bear the cost of under grounding 43
the power and the City should look into the costs before recommending it. 44
45
