• EDITED <br /> ANIMAL REGULATIONS AND POLICIES <br /> In order to establish and maintain a safe and healthy <br /> environment for our citizens and their dogs, the City Council <br /> has adopted specific rules and regulations concerning dogs in <br /> the City of Mounds View. <br /> License Requirements. Any dog over six months of age <br /> within the Municipality is required to have a license. <br /> Licenses may be obtained from the Clerk-Administrator for a <br /> fee established by City Council resolution. The fee for <br /> licenses obtained for a period of one year or less shall be <br /> one-hal of the above fees. <br /> • A certification from a veterinarian shall accompany an <br /> application indicating the following: <br /> 1. That the dog has been inoculated for rabies within <br /> two years from the date of applications . <br /> 2 . That said dog has been spayed or neutered when a <br /> license is being sought for a spayed female or <br /> neutered male. <br /> All licenses shall expire on the 31st day of August of the <br /> year of their expiration. <br /> Due Date for Fees. License fees are due on the first day <br /> of September in each year, or upon acquiring ownership or <br /> possession of any unlicensed dog or upon establishing <br /> residence in Mounds View. The City Code provides for the <br /> ownership of not more than 2 dogs on a private residence. <br /> • Both animals are rquired to be licensed. The City also has <br /> 23 <br />
