Mounds View City Council January 28, 1991411 <br /> Regular Meeting Page Two <br /> • <br /> Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director 1990 Fourth Quarter <br /> Saarion reported copies of the 1990 Annual Department Head <br /> Report from the Parks, Recreation and Reports <br /> Forestry Department for the general public <br /> to review. Ms. Saarion presented a recap <br /> of 1990 highlights for the department, <br /> major improvements made in the parks, and <br /> also reviewed the 1991 departmental goals . <br /> Public Works Foreman Mike Ulrich reviewed <br /> the accomplishments in the water and sewer, <br /> streets, parks, and garage divisions of <br /> the Public Works Department for the year 1990. <br /> Mr. Ulrich also presented many statistics <br /> regarding snowplowing and sanding and compared <br /> them to last year. <br /> Bill Frits, 8072 Long Lake Road asked for 5. Residents <br /> clarification of the monetary return from Requests <br /> Everest Development regarding the Contract <br /> for Private Redevelopment. <br /> 110 <br /> City Attorney Barney explained the matter <br /> in detail stating that the funds received <br /> from Everest Development were Tax Increment <br /> Financing Funds and would have to be used <br /> in accordance with state laws . <br /> Acting Clerk-Administrator Ric Minetor <br /> further explained the ways in which these <br /> funds could be put to use. <br /> Mayor Linke closed the regular meeting and 6 . Public Hearing: <br /> opened the public hearing at 7 :38 p.m. Consideration of <br /> Variance Request <br /> By John Engberg, <br /> 3030 Cty. Rd. I <br /> Planning Technician Harrington reviewed <br /> the circumstances revolving around the variance <br /> request by John Engberg to allow 1, 644 square <br /> feet of accessory building area where only <br /> 1,264 feet is allowed by Mounds View Municipal <br /> Code. <br /> The Planning Commission has denied the request <br /> for a variance. <br />
